Wednesday, 9 September 2015, New Delhi
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is expected to replace the Millennium Development Goals, and usher in a new development paradigm; one that is equally applicable to the developing and developed countries, and addresses the three interconnected elements of sustainable development – economic growth, social inclusion and environmental sustainability.
Ahead of the historic Summit, the United Nations in India, along with Niti Aayog, Government of India and Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) organized a brainstorming on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with experts and representatives from the Government who will be in New York for the Summit.
