UN Women’s Sounds of Freedom Concert on 3 March had performances by Goodwill Ambassador Farhan Akhtar and other popular artists, all of whom highlighted the message of gender equality and women’s empowerment. The line-up at the concert included The Raghu Dixit Project, MadBoy/Mink, Tritha Electric, The Kutle Khan Project and all women folk group Dindigul Sakthi Drummers.
A massive HeForShe signature drive saw hundreds of students and young professional signing up to pledge their commitment to gender equality.
