UN Youth Envoy visits India

UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth Mr. Ahmad Alhendawi on his first ever visit to India addressed the high-level Call to Action Summit 2015. He called for increased investments in the health and well-being of adolescents and youth. (Access his full statement)

The UN Youth Envoy had high-level meetings with officials at India’s Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in New Delhi.

The Envoy met with youth and civil society organizations and interacted with adolescents and youth who are part of a UNFPA – implemented Adolescence Education Programme (AEP) at a school in New Delhi.
